40s Vintage Textron Quilted Smoking Jacket

Smoking jackets were seen as the epitome of class in the 1940′s and 50′s. This short Textron jacket is not only comfortable when you have guests over, but it will keep you stylish taking a smoking break inside or out of doors. The quilted design of the sky blue rayon is nicely complimented by the cozy black lining. This luxurious jacket has elegant long sleeves and a classic right hand pocket for your hanky. Post WWII Asian influence is seen in the swirling appliques on the bodice front, long loops of contrasting rope piping add incredible texture and a unique design element to the piece. New old stock garment maintains the original paper tag reading, “Textron, Rayon, Style 3191, Size 12.” Bust 44, shoulder is 16, sleeve is 25, length at center back is 30, fitting a S/34 as shown or M/36. This item is in mint new old stock condition without flaws.
